This is another piece I made as training for my degree thesis.

I took as reference a picture from the movie "Corpse Bride" made by Tim Burton.
I know it has flaws but I'm just at my second try..

hours: 15 (more ore less - I'm a newbie)

making of: started tracing some lines for the borders references on black background,then,using a big brush I've drawn several raw zones of different shade,then refined.

This is the last rework on my Aishwarya Rai's portrait.
I moved away from the photograph I used as reference because it was a bit too flat..

I repainted the hair,modified the skin tone,added lights and shadows,reproportionated the whole face and some single parts of it (E.G. the eyes )

Done with Photoshop,first work using a tablet..
In a first time I wanted to do the most realistic replication of the photo reference,but as a first work with no technical skills I couldn't pretend so much by miself! So I decided to do this potrait as similar as possible but keeping a bit of my own creativity changing the background and creating the hair...
I've done also some adjustment in saturation and shading.
